As a CNC Programmer, you will be tasked with accurately programming two, three or four axis CNC machinery through the utilization of CAD/CAM software to generate code.
Specifically, you will interpret
engineering
drawings, before programming CNC mills or lathes using Mastercam software. You'll read and understand CNC programming code and select the appropriate tools to ensure optimum accuracy and the efficient processing of orders.
Additionally, you will maintain program storage within the program library, adhere to quality programming techniques and maintenance practices and uphold safe manufacturing and workshop processes.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Demonstrable proficiency in the programming of CNC mills and/or lathes utilizing a CAD/CAM system, ideally Mastercam
- An associate degree or technical certification in machining, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
As a CNC Programmer, you must be articulate and collaborative with strong team working abilities and interpersonal skills.
